How to Make Tartar Sauce: Recipe from My Father

My Father made the tartar sauce for my father’s dinner and it was a hit.

I was so excited to try it.

I don’t usually like sweetened drinks, but I’m a huge fan of this kind of thing.

The best part is, my father loves this sauce.

He’s made it at least three times a year since I was little.

This is my recipe.

Enjoy!

Ingredients 1 cup sugar 2 tablespoons cinnamon 1 cup water 1 cup cream (about 1 cup) 1 cup milk 1 tablespoon olive oil (or lemon juice) 2 tablespoons tomato paste 3 tablespoons brown sugar (or corn syrup) Instructions In a large saucepan, melt the sugar, cinnamon and water.

Once the sugar is melted, add the cream and milk.

Stir constantly, and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens.

Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

Add the tomato paste and mix well.

Add about a teaspoon of tomato paste at a time, mixing thoroughly.

Add sugar, brown sugar, olive oil and tomato paste, and stir to combine.

Remove and let the mixture cool slightly before using. 3.2.2885
